Notice on the data collection by Genesis Motor UK Limited, trading as Genesis Motor UK in accordance with Art. 12, 13 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) when surveilling Genesis Studios.
We hereby inform you about the processing of your personal data by us and the rights to which you are entitled under data protection regulations.

2. Purposes and legal basis of the processing
We process personal data for the purpose of safeguarding the legitimate interests of the controller, in particular for the prevention and investigation of criminal offences, the preservation of evidence / proof of criminal offences, the detection of unauthorised access, the exercise of domiciliary rights and the assertion of claims under civil law. They also serve to protect employees, customers and other visitors.
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f) UK GDPR.
3. Legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) lit f) UK GDPR)
We process the above personal data for the overriding interest to protect and defend against crime, theft, arson, damage to property, trespass and to protect our property, our employees, our customers and our visitors as well as to secure our buildings and facilities.
4. Recipients or categories of recipients of the data
We process the above personal data and transmit them to public authorities such as the police if the subject of the recording is a criminal offence. Otherwise, any other transfer to public authorities will only take place upon request and within the scope of the legal authorisation of the requesting public authority.
5. Storage period of data
The recordings of the video surveillance are deleted after 72 hours and the data is only accessed if necessary (e.g. burglary of the studio). If recordings of the video surveillance are stored as evidence for criminal or civil prosecution, they will be deleted in accordance with the statutory limitation periods.
6. Transfers of data to third countries or international organisations
A transfer of data to a third country does not take place, except where it is based on adequacy regulations.
7. Rights of the data subject
Each data subject has the right of access under Article 15 UK GDPR, the right to rectification under Article 16 UK GDPR, the right to erasure under Article 17 UK GDPR, the right to restriction of processing under Article 18 UK GDPR and the right to data portability under Article 20 UK GDPR. Furthermore, there is a right to lodge a complaint with the Commissioner (Art. 77 UK GDPR).
8. Right to object, Art. 21 UK GDPR
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) UK GDPR (data processing on the basis of a legitimate interest). If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims.
