OTA SOFTWARE UPDATE SERVICE FOR VEHICLE

Available for the models: GV60 / G70 / G70 Shooting Brake / G80 / GV70 / GV80
Over-the-Air (hereafter referred to as ‘OTA’) software update service for infotainment device (AVNT) is now available. This update affords mainly new navigation map data updated contents since the last annual regular update. All customers of target models using GCS (Genesis Connected Services) are eligible, and no extra payment is required as the service is included in Genesis 5 Years Care Services. Update Contents
- Navigation
: The latest version of navigation map data
: Detailed information button on Quick Menu for Point of Interest (POI):
- Provides detailed information about a selected POI.
: Voice Recognition "Cancel route" command:
- Cancel the current route guidance by VR command.
: European brand icon symbol:
- Europe brand icon symbols have been added (ALDI, TOTAL, McDonald’s).
: Black theme is available for map (For GV70, GV80 and G80):
- [Settings] > [Navigation settings] > [Map Screen] > [Daytime Map Colour]
: Improvement of update cycle of remaining distance:
- The update period is variably adjusted by considering the current vehicle speed and remaining distance.
: Detailed guidance on junction point:
- Improve route guide and view, design change about road width and driving line width.
- Media
: Double tap function for the media player:
- Moving backwards or forward is available through a double tap on the media player screen. (Not available during the driving due to safety reasons)
: System [∧/∨] button
- Allows to change the preset channel or search for broadcasting
: Improved view for AVNT screen OFF status (Only for GV70, GV80 and G80):
- When AVNT screen is OFF mode, the last media source will be shown.
- Voice Recognition
: Display time of command:
- Display time increased to 500 ms
- Etc.
: FIFA World Cup is added to the sports feature.
: Bugs fix
: System optimization
The owner of the target vehicle will receive a notification email and information message on the infotainment device (AVNT) once the update process is triggered.
