                              1. CHICHESTER, England, July 18, 2024 — Genesis has triumphed at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed, securing a remarkable victory in the four-seater production car category with its GV60 Magma Concept.  The car demonstrated its exceptional capabilities on the Hillclimb, claiming not only the class win, but also achieving an impressive 16th place overall in the weekend's Shootout.

                                Genesis GV60 Magma Concept: A Winning Performance

                                Genesis GV60 Magma Concept showcased its capabilities and turn of speed, proving it is already a strong competitor in the world of high-performance cars. This victory in the production category underscores Genesis's strong commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive technology and design.

                                “With HMETC and Goodwood being in Europe, our teams in Rüsselsheim took on the development of the car and I could not be prouder of the results,” said Tyrone Johnson, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center (HMETC).  “This win is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our development teams at HMETC, and the collaboration with our global team in Namyang, and we are thrilled with the results achieved at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend. The development continues, so we know there is more performance to come."

                                Race and rally driver driver Gethin Jones, who piloted GV60 Magma Concept up the hill during the timed Shootout and throughout the weekend, commented on the unique development process that contributed to the car's success. "Driving the GV60 Magma Concept at Goodwood was a rewarding experience. The car's responsiveness and power were impressive throughout the event, and its ability to handle the Hillclimb with such precision is a testament to the engineering excellence behind it."

                                Continuing a journey that has already reached an exciting milestone with its latest victory, production for Genesis GV60 Magma is set for 2025.
